"Essure Sterlisation"

I went into the Liverpool Women's Hospital to have the Essure Sterlisation procedure. It was done in the gynae outpatients department. The staff were lovely, they made the atmosphere calm and relaxing for the patients and kept us informed of everything that was going on and answered all our questions. The procedure itself was quick and fairly easy. It was uncomfortable similar to a having a smear done but certainly not painful. Afterwards I had some period like pains but these were manageable and had gone by the following day. I would definitely recommend this procedure rather than the tubal ligation as there is little if no "down time" whilst you have children to look after. Thanks to everyone in the department who made my visit a lot less stressful than I imagined it would be.
