"Not being listened to."

My heavily pregnant wife was sent home yesterday, on her own, with her overnight bag, after being told to bring it in. We were told that, because of the exceptional circumstances of her case, she would be staying in until delivery. This was not the case. Her previous birth happened in 15 minutes and her legs locked together and it took two adults a while to prise them apart so she could deliver, thankfully the ambulance arrived quickly - although this left her with severe bruising on the inside of both legs. The birth before that took 30 minutes and, because of the speed of birth, our baby's head size and being in a new build, as well as our hospital of choice not answering the phone, this child was born with severe facial bruising and a congenital cataract. Also the ambulance crew insisted on taking her to a hospital we didn't know and wasn't in her careplan. If she had been in the hospital, she could have had pethidine to slow the contractions and an epidural to stop the horrific pain she goes through during birth. Now. With this birth, any of these complications could lead to the death of our baby girl and possibly mum too. If this isn't sorted out by the time she gives birth, I will sue, sue, sue.
