Apart from a long wait for painkillers to take home with me, everything about my stay in the Queen's Medical Centre is remarkable. I could not have received better treatment if I had paid a great deal of money for it.
My only criticism of the system is at GP level. I waited 3 weeks for an appointment at the surgery and then had to chase up my own appointment. Hospital appointments actually sorted out the surgery as no paperwork had arrived. I was in a lot of pain in March and was promised an appointment with a podiatrist - nothing has occurred to date.
Nevertheless, full marks to the QMC.
