"Not happy"

My wife was referred here by our GP for a gynecological consultation. The day before her consultation she had to ring because she hadn't had a confirmation of her appointment. After several phone calls when no one was able to confirm that her apointment would take place she finally recieved a call telling her that her appointment wouldn't take place. Two reasons were given to her for it not happening, firstly that they wouldn't treat her because she was over 50 and secondly that they wouldn't treat her because they couldn't treat her because she would need a general anaesthetic. To discriminate by age is both wrong and fundamentaly illegal and to not know that they couldn't see her because she would need a general anaesthetic is quite frankly unbelievable. These views were shared by our GP who couldn't believe the poor service and attitude displayed by this facility.
