Since my last visit to MIAMI, it has moved next to A and E which is near to xray which seemed a good idea .However I discovered that you have to book into A and E reception and then wait to be seen by the A and E staff before being fielded back to MIAMI if it is considered appropriate. I could not see how this helped reduce the load on A and E which we are always hearing about. Despite being told eventually that the computers were playing up and the X ray machine developing a fault while I was actually being x rayed which resulted in a further wait while the staff sorted it out, I felt that my wait to be seen finally in MIAMI (three hours plus) was excessive. Initially a sign at the MIAMI dept advising you to go to A and E first would be useful. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
