"Angioplasty procedure"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

I am very upset and also angry with the way I was treated at the end of my angioplasty in April 2013 My vascular consultant and his team came to recovery and wanted me to be admitted. I would like to point out that the vascular consultant and his team are very caring and involve you in decision making. I am actually very upset that a consultant tells you that you are going to be admitted and then ten minutes later another gentleman from the angioplasty department discharges me. So how can this happen it is totally unsafe because I was sent home and I was having a stroke at the time, the Vascular team where correct in wanting to keep me in, but I was sent home and ended up being admitted two days later. What was I sent home to ensure the angioplasty targets where correct as they have to monitor how many patients have to be admitted after the procedure, so it does not matter that you are having a stroke in front of them and Consultant says you have to be admitted just send the patient home and hope for the best.
