"new patient review"

As a new resident and a new patient at Brentwood community hospital, I have been extremely disappointed with the hospital. Firstly my GP referred me for a blood test; after a long wait for an appointment, I attended on time the phlebotomist was rushed and when I asked a simple question he could not answer it. I have excellent veins for blood taking, and I have several blood tests per year. I have never had such a painful blood test my arm looked terrible for weeks with dreadful bruising. (I suggest a lot more training is required). secondly I was referred to the Tier 2 assessment team. Again I was appalled at the third class service. I had an MRI scan, and was not given a follow up appointment, I was told to ring after 2 weeks. When I finally spoke to a receptionist she was extremely rude; she said the clinician was on holiday she could not promise another clinician would look at my results. She also stated in an off hand manner "you are the one who left a message" The attitude was how dare you do such a thing. Again I believe that the receptionist needs further training.
