"Diabetes screening at St Pauls Health Centre"

(as the patient),

I arrived at St Paul's Health Centre in Runcorn at about 2.45pm for a 3pm appointment. I waited for a short time before being taken for my eye test. I was then taken to wait for the podiatrist. After a short while she was fetched and the examination took place. The retinal screening proceeded in a friendly and informative manner. The whole experience was conducted in a professional, efficient way.

My only irritation was being asked yet again how long I had been diagnosed as diabetic. Shouldn't they know this already from my medical notes? This gives the impression that there is a lack of continuity. Recently I have been very impressed with the continuous monitoring of my diabetes. At certain times in the past it has seemed rather haphazard.
