Going in for a hip procedure. All the paperwork correct. Was a little concerned that the Doctor had to ask someone else how to use the equipment. Was very concerned when he stated to prepare the wrong hip. Had I been elderly and confused or heavily sedated the procedure would have been carried out on the wrong hip.

Yeovil Hospital takes patient safety extremely seriously and as such all incidents, including those where there is no harm to the patient, are reported and thoroughly investigated to immediately inform staff training and assure the future quality of care.
