"The staff seemed to me firm but polite"
Posted by J******h
This morning I paid a visit to Blickling Ward with the intent of sharing some information of my dearest friend and partner with a suitable member of staff. Also I wished to leave a bunch of flowers and a card for her. Unfortunately, I was still on the list of people she did not wish to have contact with although, for a certain reason, I thought that had changed. I glimpsed my partner very briefly and a male nurse quickly came to usher me out of the ward. He was firm, but most polite and only doing his job, enforcing my friend's wishes. From what I saw it was very clean and tidy, and I was left with the impression that my fiancee was being well-cared for in a pleasant-looking environment. A very compassionate lady at the Gatehouse kindly offered to take my flowers and card and deliver them for me, for which I am extremely grateful. I would like to apologise for my intrusion, but it's just that - although my friend is being very well cared for - because of the Data Protection Act, I have no idea what is happening or how she is coping and I am becoming increasingly stressed-out at the lack of news. It seems to me that I don't count and that I may never see her again. It is all so distressing not just for her but also for me. I do hope, fairly soon, the staff will ask my fiancee if she wishes to give her permission for us to get together again as I love her so much and always will. Thank you for the opportunity of being able to make a comment. Ash
