About: Frome Community Hospital

Recommended by our midwives at Chippenham Birthing Centre, we visited the specialist midwife at Frome. Our son had a tongue tie which was making breastfeeding very painful and ineffective. They talked it through with us and persuaded a somewhat unconvinced paediatrician at RUH to let her perform a tongue tie cut although he had been ill a couple of days before. A quick snip, no crying, no visible bleeding, straight onto the breast again, and this time a proper latch with no pain. Thank you so much!
