"A&E and Clifford ward - teenage emergency..."

About: Kettering General Hospital

At a time when people are saying that the NHS doesn't care, that isn't my experience. I would like to thank the staff in Kettering's A&E on 5th March who treated us promptly and with care, despite the fact that the department was heaving. My daughter was seen in A&E and then admitted to Clifford ward and was treated with kind efficiency by all the staff , and especially by a cheerful, busy, kind and attentive nurse and an FY1 doctor. I also noticed that the doctors and the same nurse were really attentive to the other 3 patients on the same bay. The cleaners did a cheerful and efficient job, too. Thank you to everyone - much appreciated. I wish I didn't need you - but I do, and you were there when I did. When we left at lunchtime today, there were 5 ambulances queueing at A&E; I can't imagine how people cope with the pressure.
