I found my week long stay at Trinity two very helpfull. The lounge areas (mixed, male, female) ensured it was possible for people to socialise as and when they felt able or comfortable doing so without feeling crowded. The O.T staff were very helpfull in suggesting activities both during my stay and for future consideration. The nurses were on the whole very friendly and helpfull whilst doing a very stressfull job. The food was of a decent standard and eating in a dining room environment was beneficial to me in that I was "forced" inro socialising in a way that helped me personally. Smoking is restricted to 15minutes every hour (although informal patients can come and go as they please) and staff were generally good about ensuring nicotine needs were met! A well stocked art room, plenty of books availible and very good Occupational Therapy staff made my stay not only helpfull but actually pleasurable in parts. Trinity two is certainly a ward where being as open to experience and therapies offered will help with the obviously uncomfortable stay.
"Good experience"
