Firstly must apologise for not writing this review sooner. I was treated at the hospital on Sunday 4th Aug 2013 for a detached retina and just wanted to put on record how grateful I am for the wonderful treatment I received. At the time I was somewhat traumatised by the diagnosis I received from my local hospital the afternoon before when they told me I needed an urgent op to save the sight in my right eye. It was critical for me as I am partially sighted in my left eye. The care, consideration and treatment I received from the doctor and his team was first class and something I will never forget and will always be grateful for. Had the operation not been such a success my vision would have been very poor and the impact for me would have been life changing. I would particularly like to thank the staff who looked after me from when I first arrived and during the day, I felt like I was in a five star hotel not a very busy hospital dept. They also arranged a bed so I could stay the night which was a great relief as I was not confident about my journey home because of the limited vision in my other eye. They were so kind and considerate, that again is something I will also not forget. Over the years I have had a number of different ops but my treatment at Moorfields was simply exceptional. Thank you
"Thank you Moorfields for such wonderful treatment"
