"Under staffed and under resorced"

About: Dorset County Hospital

Resently had a baby there. Day shift - Some midwives were amazing but I can name four and I was there four days.. Poorly equipment. Could do with position aids to ease labour. After birth I was in a lot of pain and was always waiting for medication and sometimes having to ask for pain relief as I'd been waiting for more than an hour.. Cleaners were rude and very loud considering I was sleep deprived with a newborn baby. Talking about their weekend or how short staffed they were while cleaning around me.. Some midwives need more training in how to support breast feeding. The night shift however was fantastic. Got my medication on time and the midwives were really supportive. Like a different hospital!
