"Quality of emergency treatment received at Epsom..."

About: Epsom Hospital

Anything else?

Having endured acute abdominal pain for several hours, I attended the A&E Department at Epsom Hospital, arriving around 01:15 on Friday November 1st 2013. I had my details swiftly taken, then through to triage and onto initial examination and suggested diagnosis. All this before referral to an observation bed in the EHG-CAU . Later that day, the A&E diagnosis was confirmed and the offending article was successful passed. So often we read of “nightmare experiences” within the NHS. So rarely are the good experiences documented, hence this review. The performance and attitude of all the people concerned with my care and treatment was exemplary. Everyone was absolutely focused on finding out what the problem was, but did so in a friendly, compassionate and understated manner. Please ensure you pass this message onto the people concerned. They need to know that their efforts are fully appreciated and that you too know their true value.

To describe our staff as 'exemplary' is fantastic - thank you so much. Our staff do work hard at offering our patients the very best care and its right and important that they know how they are doing and their true value as you say. Your brilliant feedback will be passed on. Dr Ruth Charlton Joint Medical Director
