I was diagnosed in adulthood with a congenital heart condition. The treatment and support is always really good. The nurse specialist is really helpful to check you heard and understand all the info the consultant gives. The only improvement I can think of is realistic timescales for follow up /annual check ups as these are less frequent then the doctor says they will be but I guess that it more to do with number of patients as opposedHosp to quality of care. Just don't say we'll see you in a year if it will be 18 months

You will be pleased to hear that we are recruiting an additional Consultant to care for adults with Congenital Heart Disease, which will help bring down the waits for patients and help ensure that we can see people within the agreed timescales.
