Im 25 with 2 children and after severe pain went to a n e was told my pain was period pain! Went home had a bath laid on bed and gushed with blood went back down at 10 to 5 admited onto ward 14 no pain relief, when I finally got a bed the doctor was nowhere to be seen I laid there repeatedly telling staff if they just looked down there they would see my ius hanging out but one of the legs was sticking in me causing the bleed. The nurse who was there was lovely told me it would be a quick job and id be sorted she got the tools out and I continued to wait it was about half 10 when the doctor came in no examination again I told her wxactly what was wrong and she wanderd off to talk to the registra when she finally came back I was still bleeding and still in pain and couldnt sit or walk properly.. she then told me that it was"too late" to remove it even though the stuff was right next to her. She said id have to see my own gp...I left the hospital unable to walk properly unable to sit at quarter past 11 when I got home I took the stupid ius out myself as it was hanging out...if someone had just examined me I could of been in and out
