Recently visited A+E after having severe stomach pains. Suspected appendicitis. Came in at 3am on a weekday and got treated by a junior doctor. No one else in waiting room yet had to wait 2 hours to be seen. Finally when I was seen, the junior nurse couldn't even take my blood so had to call for more assistance. What a waste of time. Finally sent for scans and waiting another 3 hours. Finally after one helpful consultant came and gave a diagnosis. Strong painkillers were had and no repercussions since. Whole process could have been sped up if you get the right people doing the jobs first time with correct and coherent communication and clear leadership. A complete shambles, only glad it wasn't more serious.
