In early December I was seen by a consultant for a urological problem in a small, smart urology department at Trafford General. This consultant immediately gives confidence in the NHS and its staff. We confirmed in conversation the symptons from my GP's letter, followed by an examination, a questionnaire, bladder scan and flow measurement. My medication was adjusted, I was reassured that nothing sinister was afoot and I went home. I later received a copy of the letter sent to my GP and a follow up appt. The whole event was one of quiet efficiency, questions answered, excellent facilities and very good treatment. The department seemed quiet with few patients. As Trafford is linked now to Central Manchester NHS Trust, this is a good facility in a small friendly hospital. I would gladly return.
