What I liked
i was recently admitted on aug 7th to castle hill hospital, ward 9 for shoulder surgery. i was very reassured by the professionalism shown by all members of staff both on the ward and in the orthapedic theatre (both pre op and post op). From the moment i was admitted to the moment i left i felt very reassured that i was been look after by skilled professional people who put patient care and comfort above all else.
the cleanliness of the ward was very good.
What could be improved
the food could be vastly improved. post operation i didnt feel like eating much and this was a good thing cos the evening meal i recieved was cold and congealed.
a 2nd point is that the little drip needle in the back of my hand got caught in the bed sheet and became bent, the nurse said i needed it removing before i went to sleep.having waited nearly three hours for it to be removed, and bearing in mind that by this time it was 23:00 and i wanted to go to sleep i went and asked the nurse if it was to be removed because i wanted to go to sleep and it seemed like a burden, that i was putting her out.
"i was recently admitted on aug ..."
