"I had tests in both the X-ray ..."

About: Castle Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I had tests in both the X-ray and radiology departments. The facilities were superb, the staff professional and friendly and the treatment overall was first class.

However I then needed a follow-up appointment with the gastroenterologist. So far I have had 5 appointment letters putting the appointment back. After three letters I phoned up the clinic and they brought the appointment forward. Two weeks later I got two letters on the same day putting the appointment back. I phoned the Call Centre: they said phone the Clinic.

I phoned the Clinic they said phone the Secretary. I did and got an answermachine.

Heard nothing; and my appointment is still five weeks away.

What could be improved

It would appear u are desperately short of consultants.

Possibly there should be a limit on the number of times appointments can be deferred.
