About: Queen Alexandra Hospital

Anything else?

I am compelled to write about the level and treatment my mother, Mrs. Violet Beagley received in her recent stay at your hospital. My mother suffered a stroke and was treated on F2 Ward. Although my mother passed away, I could not praise your staff highly enough. Starting with the paramedics who attended a 999 call out on 30th November, to her passing on 10 December 2013, the entire team were very professional and gave my poor mum the very best of care, attention and treatment anyone could have expected. Not only did they do this for mum, but they kept us informed, showed and delivered to all of my family, the genuine care that they have for their patients whilst doing a very difficult job. Recovery was not an option for mum but they ensured that her passing was pain free and dignified, nothing was too much trouble for mum or our grieving family. Given the number of patients they attend to, they are truly heroic. We continued to receive fantastic support from the lovely ladies in the bereavement office, this is so welcoming with all of the difficulties we have to face in these extreme circumstances. Please pass on to all of the team the sincere gratitude my family have for you all and let them know that their efforts are much appreciated, thank you.
