"Confusing as to which appointment was being referred to"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I have had two referrals from Doctor: under arm and hips, it got a bit confusing as to which appointment was being referred to.

I had letters and phone calls. No one said they were from TRAQS and asked which place I wanted to go (which is what they did last time).

I'm in the middle of my (hips) appointment, but have a letter to attend Euston way next February (but I've already been).

On the whole I've been treated nice but quite confusing.

Thank you for writing to TRAQS.

TRAQS has established procedures for contacting patients which must be adhered to in all cases, I am therefore very surprised that you mention on no occasion did the caller identify themselves properly or carry out a proper security check to ensure they were to the right person. All calls made by TRAQS are recorded. As all feedback is anonymous I am unable to check whether this was so in your case and in the circumstances I would be very grateful if you would contact me on 01952 580441 in order that I can investigate further. It may be the case that you were in fact contacted directly from the hospital, in which case I am not aware their procedures.

In the meantime many thanks for contacting us and I hope to speak to you in the near future.
