Posted on behalf of a service user on Cherry Ward, Highbury Hospital:

Food is still "pretty awful" despite previous postings, a lot of foreign food...curries etc. Not much variety.

Staff are wonderful. Ward is noisy (someone has a radio which disturbs the patients)

Staff always busy...chairs in lounge uncomfortable.

Get to speak to Drs regularly.

Along with the Head of Involvement (Paul Sanguinazzi), I am responsible for the Trusts two Involvement Centres, and our Volunteering and Befriending Service. I help to report all of the feedback we receive as a Trust to the Board.

Thank you for your helpful comments. I'm pleased that you find the staff 'wonderful' and have good access to the doctors.

The Matron for older people is currently working with the catering department re the food and is due to report back to me by the middle of January.

We are already aware that some of the furniture is uncomfortable and have worked with the people who purchase it to ensure that ward staff have a much better range to choose from.
