"Very impressed by eye casualty"

About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Anything else?

I had a sudden problem with my eye on a Sunday. A call to the eye casualty dept was helpful, directing me to a local optician who would assess and refer if necessary. I was referred and called the dept who gave me an appointment. With one doctor and one nurse there was quite a wait but the standard of care was excellent. We left feeling that these two individuals (plus those who clean the area) had been a credit to the hospital. Well done!

Response from Stoke Mandeville Hospital

Dear Mike We hope you are recovering well. It is good to read that you are happy with the care and treatment provided to you by the eye care team, and that you were given helpful advice about where to go for your initial assessment and referral. Our cleaning staff will also be pleased to hear that their work was recognised. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Kind regards Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust
