The liver unit wanted to send home as soon as they could, leaving our local hospital picking up the peices and providing proper care. Our local doctors were not happy about us bringing him him home ourselves and said they would have normally brought a child so sick home by ambulance but our consultant insists while he is at deaths door that he is right and they are wrong. Our local unit knows us and cares about us but Birmingham do not. The doctors are arrogant and have treated our local hospital who are keeping our son alive as though they are worth nothing. They ignore them when they have concerns then when they finally see him themselves admit us. They care more about beds than the care of our children. I wish I had a different option.
