"My son went through A&E then ..."

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

My son went through A&E then was admitted to the treehouse childrens centre. Once in the Rainforest ward my son was dealt with quickly and with a great deal of care. The staff were extremley friendly and my son really enjoyed the playroom which is fantastic. Luckily we were discharged that day but the staff were quick to put the cot sides on the bed and there was a guest bed ready by my sons bed before we even got there. Overall a fantastic experience.

What could be improved

The only thing that could be improved was the childs playroom in a&e. It was very sparse on this visit. Previously it has been a bit better but it would have been good if there was a selection of books as my son had broken his leg so struggled to play with the other toys and it is very difficult to keep a 2 year old occupied. Apart from that everything was ok.
