"Communication impossible!"

About: Barnet Hospital

Anything else?

My mother was in AAU yesterday, but I was told by the doctor that she was being discharged. I spoke to a lady from therapy support and another from the PACE team explaining what services they would be providing in her home from today. However, I had been unable to get a response from the house phone so have been trying to establish whether she is still in the hospital. I have thus far spent 17 hours trying to find her. I have hung on phones so long listening to that darned music and someone telling me how important my call is, that the phone has cut out. I have been given 2 numbers that are unobtainable, one that is a fax machine, and one that goes straight to voicemail - and no-one rings you back. I have been cut off twice. I have been told by the person switchboard puts me through to that it is not the right number and to ring in again. If I lived near enough, I would have driven there and looked around the hospital until I found her by now. I know a hospital is a very busy place, but have you any idea how upsetting, frustrating and annoying this is?
