What I liked

I had laparoscopic surgery on June 23rd 2008. I felt well looked after and I have a new respect for the NHS. The staff at the SGH are amazing people right from the surgeons to the doctors, nurses and domestic staff. I can only hope they know how appreciated they are. Thankyou!

What could be improved

Everything else was fine but the toilets are in a seriously bad state. I was in hospital for a week and the toilets didn't look as if they had been cleaned at all in that time. Please can somebody employ some toilet cleaners! When you are at your lowest point and feel like death and are phsyically unable to clean the toilet yourself it can be quite distressing to discover a toilet full of urine and faeces and goodness knows what else. At the end of the day it is a small price to pay considering the risk of infection to patients. .
