"Lazer treatment for eyes"

Had Lazer treatment on my right eye. I have had lazer treatment before and cateracts done at another hospital sucessfully. However,the doctor who administered this lazer treatment did not stop the treatment when requested. I could feel my eye heating up and relayed this to the doctor.They gave me a tissue to wipe my eye and continued to lazer and I relayed that I was now in pain and would like them to stop. They did so then we continued. I again experienced the eye heating up and sharp pain and shouted to them to stop .They replied just a little more before i'm finished and they continued to lazer. I shouted that I was going to move as I felt faint but they continued to lazer whilst I moved back from the machine. I slumped forward resting on the machine. The doctor called the nurse who gave me some liquid glucose (diabetic type 2) I was wheeled next door to the nurse's room. The doctor said this was a new lazer machine. I personally would never have treatment from that doctor again.I now suffer some loss of clear vision in the eye that was lazered by them. I have since been back for a follow up appointment where I saw an eye specialist. When they asked how my eyes were I relayed that I had almost passed out during the previous treatment by laser and now had floaters where i never had them before the treatment.. They looked into my eyes and merely stated that " well we won't recommend any more lazer for you just now" and that was it. I have learnt from this that the doctor is not always right. If you don't feel what is happening to you is o.k. feel empowered to say no and complain straight away. I didn't do that and I wonder how many other people have had their eyes more damaged during treatment ? The other eye that was not lazered is fine. Now after this treatment I suffer with floaters in my right eye that was lazered and am totally frustrated at being told that they cannot treat them as the treatment is dangerous and only in the last resort do they do this operation. On reflection I don't think that I asked enough questions before the treatment. However, I do think that a doctor should stop treatment when requested and not continue.
