Anything else?
I was admitted into Castle Hill Hospital on thursday 5 dec for treatment for Endometriosis. My operation took place that day and i was taken to ward 14 to recover. I had 4 wounds in my stomach from the operation and was feeling very sore and in pain. I was seen the next day by the doctors early morning and was told i was being discharged, despite the fact that i could bearly walk. I was then told to sit in a chair next to my bed while the nurses re-made the bed, i was then told i could not lay down and should remain in the chair. I told the nurses i was in pain but was left sitting in the chair for two hours until i was disharged. A nurse then came and collected my belongings and told me to follow her to the day lounge where my husband was waiting to take me home. I could bearly walk and was in a lot of pain and yet was not offered the use of a wheelchair. My husband had to support me as we went to our car and then drove home. Upon arriving home i found that i was bleeding badly from one of the incisions in my stomach and my husband had to help stop the bleeding and dress the wounds again. I think it was too soon to discharge me from the hospital, i told the nurses that i was in a lot of pain but no-one seemed to listen or care. It seemed that they could not wait to get me out as someone was already waiting in the day room for the bed i was in. A really bad experience for me and one that has left me very unhappy with the whole episode.
