"Plastic Surgery Team"

About: Castle Hill Hospital

Anything else?

The surgery on my nose and forehead was expertly performed by the surgeon and the nurses. The worst bit was the local anaesthetic injections, which the surgeon warned me about before he started. "This will sting!" he said. And he was perfectly correct! After that it was quite bearable. It took just over an hour to cut away the bits and pieces and then close the wounds with sutures. Stemming the flow of blood was made more difficult because of the medication I was on but it not a problem for this team, thank goodness. I was happy to hear the words: "Nearly done ..." and was soon off the operating table. Well done all round. A week or so later, on 4 Dec 2013, I returned to the hospital to have the sutures removed. I was not looking forward to this but have to say it was absolutely brilliantly completed in less than ten minutes. I must congratulate the Staff Nurse on he professionalism, cheerfulness and expertise. Thanks!
