On the 11th of November, I felt renal colic on my right side, the pain was so severe I never experienced in my life. I also vomited frequently. My GP referred me to the A&E of Chase Farm hospital. I could hardly stand up when I handed over my GP’s note to the recipient of A&E, and my wife was driving outside to find a parking place. I was called in after couple minutes wait to see a nurse to record down my details; I vomited when she tried to measure my blood pressure. She handed over me a vomit tray. I was leaded by another nurse to enter a bed isolated by surrounded curtains. My wife appeared at this time after she parked her car. One male and one female nurse entered and did a lot of check up on me, I vomited again. A young female doctor injected me with pain killer and anti-sick. I felt comfortable almost immediately after the injection. The nurse and doctor told my wife, they know the feeling of the sick is the most difficult experience. The female young doctor arranged me to have a CT scan and then I was arranged to the Wellington ward. I had an operation to remove the stone on my right side and inserted a JJ stent on the left side on the second day. It was very painful after the operation, nurse asked me to take oral morphine twice to comfort my pain. I was discharged from the hospital on the next day of operation. I would like to thanks to all nurses, doctors, and consultant who saved my life when I stayed in the A&E and the Wellington ward bay A during the 11th of November till the 13th of November. It is shamed that I was very ill could not remember these nurses and doctors names, only knowing the consultant from the discharge report. I am so sorry to know that the A&E of Chase Farm hospital will be closed and will be merged into the Barnet hospital. I wish them all a bright future and careers. PS: The toilet and shower area on the Wellington ward was nice and clean compared to the other two NHS hospitals I stayed before.
