Anything else?
I arrived at 11am sunday 1st Dec, I had attempted to ring 111 but the call centre would not connect, the staff behind the desk were not very sympathetic to this fact and said take a seat you will be seen as soon as possible, after 2 hours and very many questions we were seen, the doctor told me that our appointment time was 3:15 and made me feel that he saw us as a favour as opposed to his job, because he didn't really need to see us until 4:15, if the counter staff informed us of this fact we would have left the hospital and came back at 3:15, I don,t know if it is lack of training or the fact that they don,t really care about patient welfare and just like to see people get more and more impatient and take great delight in seeing the frustration of the people waiting. there should be an alternative when the 111 line won,t work when people walk in they could also be given an appointment like the fortunate ones that could get through and I would just like to say I am very disappointed in the treatment we received today at St Marks Hospital, I would also like to say that the attitude of the doctor I saw today was very far from my idea of a caring health professional, he was obviously not very happy about working on a sunday and it was clearly evident in his attitude.
"walk in to see a doctor"
