"Rude treatment in A&E"

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

Anything else?

Following advice from an A& E nurse after phoning the department, my daughters head laceration had reopened, who told me to either take her to the doctors surgery to see a nurse or bring her to the department, as there were no nurses at my doctors I took her to A&E. The triage nurse was really condescending to her, went on about why she hadn't been to the doctors after explaining the advice given by a fellow member of staff, she was made to feel as if she did it on purpose. This is the second time this male nurse has tarted my daughter this way, last time reducing her to tears, as she has ongoing medical problems it causes an awful lot of upset. It's a shame because the rest of the staff couldn't be more helpful and kind
