What I liked
From the moment I arrived on ward 16, to my eventual departure from ward 33, my whole experience at the hospital was very positive. It was very difficult to find fault with anything. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was really good, almost home from home. I had to ask a lot of questions about my illness as it was sudden and without warning, and everyone I spoke to gave their time freely and as helpfully as they could.
What could be improved
A few question marks arose over the cleaning being done on ward 33. A few staff were content to just push a broom round. However when a member of staff arrived on the Monday morning things got smartened up dramatically.
It would also be useful for the wards to be told the appointment slots that were allocated to patients for things like CT scans. I found I had to be quite insistent with some ward staff before being given a proper answer.
