My treatment (Hip Replacement) was first class both prior and after the procedure. I do feel that there were two issues that could be improved. Cleanliness - Throughout my 6 day stay I did not see any cleaning being carried out. I had to catch a cleaner in the passage and ask for a replacement toilet roll. Medication - On my admission I handed over my current prescription medication and what they were for and frequencies. Regretfully I do not believe that the house doctor understood the use of my Gabapentin because of this I suffered unnecessary additional pains. If the Doctor had taken time to speak with me he perhaps would have understood better my problem. Discharge - I do not understand why I could not had been discharged on the Saturday as I understand that my INR count was 2.2 which was well in the safe range. These comments spoilt a very professional experience.
