Anything else?
Was rushed into hospital for a potentially life-threatening condition. From the ambulance crew that collected me to the staff on the ward, at every step I was never in doubt about the safety of the facilities and the competence of the staff. Was seen very promptly, assessed and diagnosed correctly (which is more than my GP had been able to do) and was admitted for treatment. The ward I was admitted to was very clean and well-organised, the medical and support staff were very friendly and professional. Was informed constantly about my condition and treatment, upcoming procedures, and timeline for discharge. Had never been hospitalised before but was glad to find that hospital food (at Wythenshawe Hospital, anyway) is very good and doesn't deserve the jokes at all. The staff were especially helpful since I had not planned on being admitted; since I had no clothes or wash-gear they provided me with everything I could need. Overall, I received the very best of care, and could find no negatives at all (except maybe my fellow ward-mates)! Very pleased.
"Very high levels of care"
