About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

My GP gave me no explanation about TRAQS. I had no idea they would be contacting me.

I was offered ridiculous options of Dudley or Cannock - not added where would be convenient.

Once I asked for a hospital that was convenient the service was excellent.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with TRAQS

Please accept my apologies that you were not informed by your GP that your referral would be sent and managed by TRAQS. There is a TRAQS patient leaflet which is handed out to all GP practices/ GP's. Each patient that is referred by their GP should be given one of our yellow & blue leaflets. The leaflet explains all about the TRAQS service, the steps in the process and contains the contact telephone number for TRAQS should you wish to discuss your referral.

Here at TRAQS we offer patients a choice of providers that they can be seen at and we always offer patients the first available appointment within a 40 mile radius of the patients home address. A high number of patients do chose to travel for an earlier appointment, however, we realise that this is not always an option and many patients choose to be seen at their local hospital.

I am pleased that you received an excellent service once we established which hospital you would like to be seen at.
