"Cataract surgery"

About: Emersons Green NHS Treatment Centre / Ophthalmology

(as a relative),

My wife went in to Emersons Green hospital near Bristol for a routine removal of a cataract from her right eye. From the moment we entered the hospital, she was treated with respect and we were both welcomed by all members of staff we encountered.

The operation took about twenty minutes in all and my wife was reassured by kind and helpful staff from the moment she went in to theatre and on leaving.

We were given clear instructions about what to do next and when to administer eye drops throughout the next two weeks. We were also given an emergency number to ring if necessary.

This hospital is privately run by Care UK but takes in NHS patients from the area.
