"Treatment for cancer of the prostate"

About: Broadgreen Hospital / General surgery St Helens Hospital

(as the patient),

I was given a Robotic Radical Prostatectomy at Broadgreen University Hospital, Liverpool on 17th September 2013. This procedure seems to have proven to be a resounding success.

I would like to offer my deep and profound gratitude to the staff at Broadgreen Hospital for the level of care I received during this trying time.

I would like to single out the skills of the surgical team but more so for their compassion and the manner in which they treated myself and my family, I cannot possibly thank them enough.

I would also like to thank the staff at St Helens Hospital for their swift action in relation to the carrying out of a biopsy which resulted in my case being dealt with rapidly.

The treatment I received during this whole episode leaves me with a renewed faith in the NHS and the sterling work undertaken by a staff group who are, regrettably, often much maligned.

Thank you so much for your kind comment. We have passed this on to staff. Best wishes for the future.
