"Kingsgate Ward"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Anything else?

I had my care transferred from Medway to the QEQM on Thursday, and just a few hours later I went into labour. Despite me being very last minute, paraplegic, and it having been a bit of a complicated situation, the care and compassion that I was shown by ever staff member really was second to none. I was originally set to have a planned home birth, but literally just hours before I went into the labour the decision had to change, and yet this had no impact whatsoever on the he care I recieved. All the staff members was fantastic, I really cannot thank each and every one of them enough. I know for sure though, that if had anymore children then I would definitely be opting to be treated by QEQM (and that comes from someone who has a phobia about hospitals!!) . I'm proud to say that my baby was born here. I would like to take the chance to thank all the staff who treated me, especially the midwife and student midwife who helped me to bring my beautiful little miracle into the world. You delivered me the best girl anyone could ever recieve. Thank you also for all of your support, patience, encouragement and tolerance with me. You guys really are fantastic! A huge big thank you to you both xxx

Thank you so much for taking time to feedback on the care we provided, and at a time which must have been quite stressful for you. We are really proud of our staff who live out our values and our shared purpose - person centred, safe and effective care. I will make sure that staff see your feedback, they will really appreciate it.

I hope you enjoy your wonderful daughter and she allows you get enough sleep.
