"threatened with section"

Anything else?

I was admitted after being on safire for 4 days. Within an hour I wanted to leave. I was an informal patient. I had all my belongings including my shoes and my coat taken from me and only my books were returned to me. After missing my lunchtime meds and waiting for over 3 hours for my evening meds I informed staff I wished to leave, as I could look after myself better at home. I was asked to see the on call Dr first, who told me my issues were "trivial" compared to his other patients and himself. He then told me I could either stay informally or he would detain me under section. I "chose" to stay informally, though there was no choice so obviously I had been detained against my will. I will be taking this up with management in the hospital and I would not recommend anyone to go here, regardless of how ill they are. Awful place. Though a nurse on alder ward and the consultant were helpful and really treated me with respect and dignity.
