"Ward D5 at stepping hill"

About: Stepping Hill Hospital / Breast surgery

(as the patient),

I went for a minor surgical procedure today at Stepping Hill.

All the staff were fantastic, really welcoming, friendly and put me at ease. It all went very smoothly, the receptionist guessed who I was when I came in and everything was explained, how long I'd have to wait etc.

The doctor working with consultant came and explained everything and consented me. I had met her previously and she has a great "bedside" manner. In theatre everyone was really chatty and friendly. They also maintained my dignity and kept me warm! The nurse kept a reassuring hand on my arm throughout the procedure.

Just to say, I am a healthcare professional and I always wondered what it would be like on the other end. I'm glad to say the staff at D5 in Stepping Hill are some of the best I've ever had the pleasure to meet!
