Cannot fault treatment in A&E and surgery, and the staff were exemplary. Unfortunately everything went downhill after surgery in the surgical ward. On the whole the nursing staff were very good but standards were spoiled by the actions (or inaction) of two nurses whose treatment of patients was not as would be expected in a high dependency ward. One of these two nurses was unable to change two leaking cannulars and left them for the day shift to replace. She also conveniently would not empty drain bags and left them for someone else to empty.
