"Amazing care, concern and skill from vascular team"

Dear Stephen, thank you for all of your positive comments about our vascular team, which we have passed on. We are pleased to hear you felt so well looked after by our surgeons and nurses and that you were impressed with the ward environment and the food. You will be interested to hear that our pre-assessment team are currently working to improve the clinic and their services following patient feedback such as yours. Specifically, they are booking patients into the clinic at an earlier time before their operation, so any medical issues can be identified sooner through the assessment and initial information about the procedure can be given. Certainly for more complex procedures, this gives patient a better opportunity to go home, read and digest everything and then call up with any further questions or concerns. We are also looking to introduce a telephone triage call a week prior to the surgery taking place, where a nurse can check all is well with the patient before they come into hospital.
