Anything else?
Having had a very negative experience 5 years ago I was pleasantly suprised at the improved level of care, particularly in A&E. Generally I found the nursing staff to be kind and clear in explaining what was happening as regards my care On admittance to the ward I noticed a large turnover of staff particularly at night and they didn't seem particularly conversant with what was happening to me. At night there seems to be a shortage of staff and the nurse seldom came around to check the patients. I know because I was awake for much of the time. Also during the day at a weekend, staff at the nurses station were talking loudly about their grievances and about patient care that had gone wrong. This created some anxiety for me and would have been better discussed in the staff room where they could not be overheard. However, overall I was very satisfied with the care I received. Thank you
