"CBT managed to save my life"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

CBT was a new experience for me, along with allowing somebody into my personal life. However, from my first session with Margi I felt like I could open up and trust her.

Depression had taken over my life and getting from one day to the next was one of the hardest things for me to do. Knowing I was going to see Margi each week helped me get from that one day to the next, as I could motivate myself to learn how to deal with the pressures surrounding me.

Each session with Margi helped me in different ways. It even managed to save my life. Learning coping mechanisms meant that I could take control of my life again. My confidence had been crumbled and I could not see how my life would get easier. But, Margi made things clearer for me and I was eventually getting back to my "over" organised lifestyle again!

I am so grateful for everything Margi has taught me through my sessions. This was a life changing experience for me, and I am so thankful that somebody could make me open up and trust them, in order to get my life back on track.

Cheers Margi: )!

Dear Zenith108

What wonderful feedback, thank you so much for sharing this and I will ensure that Margi knows about it.

I am so delighted that Inclusion Matters, and specifically Margi, have helped you to this extent through what has clerly been an extremely traumatic time for you. To hear it has been 'life changing' and even managed to save your life is wonderful, we could not wish for more in the support we try to offer people.

I hope you are truly enjoying your renewed confidence and motivation as you so deserve after clearly putting in so much effort and commitment to the sessions.

Thank you again for telling your story as I am sure it will help other people who are struggling and wondering about whether to get referred.

All the very best

Kind regards

Heather
