"The lady from TRAQS was splendid when she telephoned"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

I was very unsure about the various steps in acquiring aid with my hearing, as my GP just said an appointment would be made with an audiologist.

The lady from TRAQS was splendid when she telephoned re: referral and explained that the care was still NHS and the shortest waiting list availability.

The audiologist at Specsavers, Wellington, was so kind and patient, making sure I had all the information I required.

One did not feel like an item on a conveyer belt.

Hello,

We are sorry to hear that your GP did not explain the referral process to you. There is a TRAQS patient leaflet which is a handed out to all GP Practices/GP's. Each patient that is referred by their GP should be given one of these yellow leaflets. The leaflet explains the referral process through TRAQS and provides contact details for TRAQS should you wish to discuss your appointment.

Nevertheless, we are pleased to hear that the rest of your referral went smootly and that TRAQS met your expectations. We pride ourselves on providing a professional and informative service.

We thank you for sharing your feedback and your kind comments will be passed onto the team.
